I had a short vacation and visited Madrid in Spain. I stayed there for 4 nights and I really enjoyed the holiday there. Weather was nice, around 22 Celsius and sun shined every day except the last morning when I had to go back to Finland.
I stayed in the small hostel/hotel in the Heart of Madrid. Hotel was called Hostal Santo Domingo Madrid. I can recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid. It’s walking distance from all the nice places and it’s one block away from Gran Via where you can get amazing street shots. Staff was great and very helpful and unlike most of the Spanish people, they spoke good English.
Anyway, I had my camera with and usual travel equipment. I only had 2 lenses with me, “Di Darling ” and “Shake killer” (Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and Tamron 70-300 VC). I used the Di darling most of the time when walking around the city. I packed my telephoto with my since as always, I just had to visit the zoo there. Compared o the last zoo I visited in Riga, the zoo in Casa de Campo was much better and animals looked happier.
Many people tend to travel to Barcelona / Beach cities when traveling to Spain but I can warmly recommend Madrid to any traveler or Photographer.
I managed to get few nice shots during my trip and below are couple tasties from my archieves:
